Anatomy Coloring Book?

Published

For anyone that actually used the anatomy coloring book did you use a certain type of makers, colored pencils, pens? What do you recommend and how many different colors are needed? Thanks

I've been using Crayola. So far, I've only needed basic colors! I'd recommend only using coloring pencils. Markers may bleed through, crayons may be too wide for some of the small areas you'll find yourself coloring. I do use a regular blue/black ink pen for labeling in the book.

I think you'll be fine with just getting the 24-pack of the coloring pencils. I got the Kaplan's Coloring Book. A lot of times you'll color something dark blue and they'll ask you to color another part on the same illustration a lighter blue. I found that lighter and darker colors of each basic color has been working just fine for me so far. :)

Thank you I wanted to get them picked up but read where someone on amazons reviews said colored pencils didn't color well on the pages.

They work and blend amazingly on my Kaplan Coloring Book. Maybe the book you're looking at has glossed pages that markers work better with. :)

Prismacolor has the highest quality. It really is noticable but it is not essential, crayola will work. Prismacolors are expensive, I think I would not have gotten them if I hadn't found a half-off sale. Even if you don't get a set, it might be worth getting a few colors individually to get that darker/lighter thing. I had no trouble coloring on the Kapit's pages with them. I haven't colored in any other book.

I also used a big set of Sharpie ultra fine point markers (the only place I've seen the big set is Sam's Club). They bleed through but Kapit's has printing on only one side of the page so putting a peice of paper under the page kept every page usable.

I like having lots of colors but it isn't essential.

The ISBN of the book we are using is 9780805350869

Have you found this book to be helpful? I can get my book on Wed or Thursday so I'm not sure what the pages are like and trying to finish my shopping.

I looked up the ISBN. I have Kapit's Physiology Coloring Book! Maybe you could check into Prismacolor if you wanted something more of the higher quality! I'd love to use them, but my crayola does just fine - though I think I would have made the choice to get them if I saw them on sale too! ;)

I really have enjoyed all I've done so far in both coloring books. Really helpful and informative. Good luck! :)

Well hopefully I can find some on sale somewhere otherwise ill stick with crayola ones too

I have the Kaplan Anatomy coloring book, which I plan to scan through/color this week. I plan on using coloring pencils.
