Anatomy & Physiology I

Nurses General Nursing

Are there any RN students here in Anatomy and Physiology I or any nurses who want to share some advice on passing this class. This is my 3rd week in this class and the chemistry part seems so overwhelming. My first test is on the Jan 28.

The best advice I can give you is to read the chapter before the lecture so you can understand what your professor is talking about and take intense notes (I taped the lectures to make it easier on my hand)

Dont let yourself fall behind or you will never catch up.

Good luck!

I did several things:

My textbook (Tortora) had a website with lots of practice tests on it. I read the chapter, did the practice test, and then noted what I missed (which was usually a lot). Then, I boned up on what I missed, and took the practice test again.

If there was something I didn't understand, I searched for it in Google, and usually found a web site where it was explained a little better. There are some great A&P sites out there. Try this one:

Of course, if it's the Krebs cycle, etc. that's getting you, well, good luck! ;-)

Good luck studying,

the Anatomy Coloring Book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you are at all a visual learner, run, don't walk, and get this book. it saved my butt and i ended up w/ an A!

(there is a physiology coloring book too but i didn't have that one.)

It might be more useful if you posted this on the student nursing forum, don't you think?

If you go to the Student Nursing forum and do a search, you'll find there are many threads that deal with this topic. Good luck!
