Hi,
I used the suggested A&P book and study guide that is in their content guide. I passed with a "B".

Thanks Brenda,
I have my A&P from LPN and really do not want to buy another if i don't need it. I have thought about getting the Cliff Notes Review for A&P.
I then would at least purchase the study guide (about $20). I found this test to be one of the hardest I have taken.
Good Luck!

The content guide is free. I purchased the "study" guide for Micro and found it to be a waste of $20. It is just the content guide with a few tips like "Read the chapter and answer the objective questions" Yeah that advice was worth $20.....What is worth the money is the excelsior practice exams. I passed all NC 5 A's and 1B and micro A with an assortment of study guides, the content guide and the practice exams.
I am studying for A&P now and I got A & P the easy way am using the content guide and the tests.....I'll let you know how I do...I test next week

I would strongly recommend using the book recommended by Excelsior. I used it and passed with an A. The A+P for Excelsior is far more complex than LPN A+P, so I wouldn't use you old book. I haven't ever used Cliff notes either, but I doubt it would be nearly enough to pass the exam. I agree with Brenda, this is the most difficult exam I have ever taken.
Oops, I did not mean the study guide..I meant the workbook with practice exam questions in it which is just like the practice exams from Excelsior. I also think the $20 guides from Excelsior are a waste of $.
Good Luck next week..I am sure you will do great!

Why do you need to take Excelsior A&P if you already did it in LPN school??
I took A&P 25 years ago.At that time, LPN Schools were a little different. All of our classes were considered Nursing classes and those do not transfer. I need to take everything again.
