is anyone applying to the Accelerated Masters Program at the University of Rochester? Deadline is in exactly a month. Have you submitted your personal statement yet?

Haha same here, when I called they told me not to worry about the deadline too much. i would say as long as your application is completed you should be fine. Good luck.

I've read in past years people hear about interviews in late november/early december...so fingers crossed that it's before the new year. I also applied to Ohio State's accelerated master's for non-nurses. How about you guys?
I did. I only applied to this program so fingers crossed, and good luck to you.

So part of me thinks it would be beneficial for me to work as an RN before pursing a career as an NP. But we will see. Now we wait ?
After completing the first year they recommend that we work for a year (at-least my specialty) and then return to complete the masters portion.

For NeoNatal? I think that is the only specialty they require a year of RN experience, especially in a NICU. I can’t imagine they turn anyone away who doesn’t have previous RN experience (In re to other specialities) as this program Is for those who are starting from scratch.

No the acute care NP as well, you have to do a year of clinical in acute care
