Americare CSS in Brooklyn

Has anyone ever gotten a job from this agency? If so, I have a couple of questions. How does the process work? Does the company interview you prior to linking you with a job? Did you have a good or bad experience with them? Any responses would be helpful! thanks!

Oh wow, I had an interview there a few months ago too. The interviewer didn't even look at me as he was asking me questions, and kept answering his phone during the interview. Then never contacted me back regarding whether or not they were interested in hiring me. Very unprofessional facility. Worst interview environment for me thus far!

Labelle777, I think I know exactly who you're talking about, that person gave me my first interview. Kept answering his phone during the interview. Ridiculous!! Looking back at it now, I think it was a blessing I wasn't hired there.

hello everyone.i just want to know if this agency hire lpn's

They do,according to their website, but only in the Hudson Valley area

nurse32: I see you are working for them now. In my case, just a little background, I don't have any nursing experience and still haven't found a job since graduation (2 yrs.). Anyway, I haven't called them back yet. Maybe in a week or two.

Do they train? If so, would you recommend it or someone who doesn't have a nursing experience?

Thanks! :nurse:

When I started wording at Americare CSS, I was a newbie too with just a few months experience. Once a week I worked as a private duty nurse, and 2-3 days a week in a nursing home. I told them upfront at the interview that I'm not experienced. The reply was that they are in need of a nurse with great note-writing skills, and that all paperwork should be on time (or insurance won't pay them.) My interview was not at all like the descriptions I read here.

Specializes in medical surgical, homecare hospice.

U know what that had to be *. He did the same thing to me. Then he told me he was going to hire me. He told me someone would call me the following week. Someone did call me to reschedule my appointment for the following week. My appointment was rescheduled 2 times. On like the 4th week, *. told me to call him q week to check back with him. I called him for almost a month= 2 months. I was frustrated and ask him upfront about the position and he told me I no longer needed to call. :down:A total waste of time. The disorganization and the unprofessionalism told me a lot about that company.

I was also told to call back every few weeks to see if they already have an opening. After a few months I was hired as a per diem, and after 2 months of per diem work I was finally hired full time.

:cheers:i currently work there and i love my job i dont know what anyone else is saying i did not need to wait:yelclap:
