American River College ARC Spring 2018

It's a little early but I won't stop thinking about this process until it's over. I'm a little disappointed they're going to random picks over 70 points, but it is what it is.

Who's applying? Did anyone plan on applying but doesn't meet the 70 point minimum? How many points do you have? What'd you get on the TEAS? How many times have you applied?

I've got 85 points and got a 91.3 on the TEAS today. First round of applying.

Good luck everyone!

Not selected..

Good luck!

Just got an Email. Not selected.

Just got my "not selected" letter. Hopefully third time will be the charm for me. Congrats to those that got in.

Yeah, just received my "not selected" email, too. Thank you all for the updates and the help! Good luck to everybody, and I guess I'll see you guys on the Fall 2018 page in February! :D

Specializes in Emergency Department.
Third time applying here and I haven't heard anything yet. I accepted a spot in Sac City's program recently so I think I made the right decision. In the past I got my denials by the third day emails started going out.

You will find that Sac City's program is tough, but doable. You'll soon learn to hate doing the nursing care plans that they'll make you do. They'll be very complete and through but eventually they'll allow you to do more abbreviated care plans because they know you know how to do it.

ARC also requires you to do nursing care plans and theirs are different from what Sac City does, but the end goal is the same.

Hi everyone! Congratulations to everyone who got in! I was accepted but already accepted a spot in a different program. I just sent my declination letter so if you are an alternate, there is at least one more spot open. :-)

Good luck everyone!

@annaplusnursing Yes it is horrible! He almost died from his accident, in the hospital for nearly 2 weeks - it was a broken femur. I am glad they were able to hold a spot for him; he will make a darn good nurse one day. If you got in, you should make sure to comment how far he has come with his recovery. I did, considering he wasn't able to walk on his own for quite a long time.

Wait, you did mean the accident was horrible, right?

Also there is one person from fall 2017 class that broke his hip or foot and will be starting again in spring 2018 which takes one of our spots which is horrible

Hi guys!

Have you seen a change in status yet from Application Received?

Sophie

Mine has not yet, but it changed on March 21 last year so I'm guessing it will change soon.
