Nursing Students School Programs

It's a little early but I won't stop thinking about this process until it's over. I'm a little disappointed they're going to random picks over 70 points, but it is what it is.

Who's applying? Did anyone plan on applying but doesn't meet the 70 point minimum? How many points do you have? What'd you get on the TEAS? How many times have you applied?

I've got 85 points and got a 91.3 on the TEAS today. First round of applying.

Good luck everyone!

Anyone get any updates yet? acceptances?

Got to wait till Thursday 🙈

Goodluck everyone!

Hey everyone, I just found out yesterday that I got in to the Delta College program in Stockton and have accepted my spot. So if I get in at ARC I'll be declining. One more spot for an alternate! Good luck everyone!

Congrats and good luck in the program!!! Hope arc lets us know so we can all know and move on

Congrats and thank you for letting us know.

Anyone heard anything yet?

Nope, not yet

Anybody also apply to Sac State? This long period waiting is frustrating. I find solace, maybe irrationally, in a former classmate who was admitted her FIRST time applying to American River. I conveniently try not to consider the horror stories I also heard of applicants interminably and unsuccessfully applying semester after semester. Crossing my fingers for everybody.

Haven't had any acceptance letter come out yet. One more week , we shall know the results...

I would be one of those candidates that applied unsuccessfully semester after semester. I was qualified beginning with my first application. It took me eight consecutive semesters before I was accepted to both ARC and SCC for the same semester. Yes, I had to choose which school I was to attend.

I had classmates that were chosen, with both fewer and greater points than I who were admitted to the program upon their first or second application. I'd had applied for entry more consecutive semesters than the rest of the class. It didn't bother me one whit about any of it because we all were qualified applicants and through random selection, and (at the time) increasing weight applied to repeat applications, all of us were selected and, if I do recall correctly, all but about 5 of my classmates (of about 30) graduated.

From prior experience, the Los Rios programs usually begin notification of acceptance/rejection at around 4-5 weeks from the close of the filing period. Never earlier, occasionally a little later and no later than 7 weeks. Once I got in, there was not much need for me to continue tracking this... so I don't know if they're continuing to notify between 4 and 5 weeks after the close of the filing period. They do ask for a maximum of 8 weeks, but I personally haven't seen them take that long.

Given what I do know of the filing period as of when I was applying to the programs, you'll likely start getting notifications this upcoming week or the following week at the very latest. I don't think I've ever seen them go past Thanksgiving for notifications as they hold their orientation meeting pretty early in December and that takes a bit of work to set up.

I applied to Sac State as well... I felt pretty good until the preliminary point cut-off email was sent. I have 82 points, but the preliminary cut-off is 86 this semester. It will drop, but no one knows by how much! They have never had the final cutoff higher than 79, but it looks like this year will be somewhere in the mid to low 80's. It has been a loooong month of checking my email every five minutes b/t Sac State and ARC! The end of the month cannot come soon enough.
