American River College (ARC) ADN Spring 2024

Published

I know its early but I wanted to go ahead and start a thread for ARC nursing program.

I just got my acceptance email, but I've already been given a merit-based spot at the YCC program. I start Jan.

Hey everyone,

I'm hoping to get into the program and was notified that I was selected as alternate number 17. I'm from Fairfield, CA, and I haven't been accepted into a nursing program yet. I was wondering if anybody knows if being 17 on the alternate list is a good chance of getting into the program or not, as I'm trying to decide whether to accept the alternate position and drive out to Mandatory Orientation or not.

Received an email I am alternate #22 not sure how high my chances are of getting in

To be honest, I'm not aware of ARC cohort size, but even being an alternate rather than downright declined is good. Many people are pulling out because they got accepted elsewhere. I'm declining my place tomorrow so some people may be closer to a spot than they think.

I just got my acceptance email!! I wasn't expecting this at all, this was my first time applying. I hope you all hear back soon!! Good luck everyone!!

Congratulations!! Can I ask how many points you had and what your TEAS score was?

Thank you!! I had 70 points on my application, so just enough to make it into the lottery. My TEAS score was 90%. I guess this just goes to show that as long as you have the minimum points, your chances in the random selection really are just as good as anyone else's (which in my case I'm extremely grateful for, but I can see how others may be upset). Feel free to ask any other questions- I'm happy to help!

Also I didn't want to spam you all individually with thank you's, but thank you everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Congratulations to those chosen. I got an acceptance letter at 6pm yesterday on my first try and I couldn't be more grateful.

Has anyone heard back from ARC after submitting their response form? I was expecting to hear today since the form was due yesterday.

That's funny I just reached out to someone else on this thread (individually) about that! I haven't heard anything yet, which feels surprising considering the orientation is already on Monday?? But the email said additional information would be sent out so I'm just wondering when.

Hey guys I just got an email to be an alternate and I'm pretty far past being #1 but I still think it's worth a try so I'm filling out the acceptance response. I was just wondering if you are able to put a signature on your forms because I'm only able to fill out the date, phone #, name, and student ID.
