Ambien- FDA Recommendations

Hi all,

My facility has recently instituted a new policy that ambien may only be prescribed/given in doses =

[applewhitern, BSN, RN]

At my previous hospital, we gave 5 mg to anyone over the age of 65; patients younger than 65 could receive 10 mg. At my current hospital, we give only 5 mg to everybody.
