Am I in nursing school

while talking to my wife last night,i discovered, that she does not see me as really being in NURSING SCHOOL . Her take is that i am kind of in nursing school but i will not be a real nurse intill i become an rn.

I tried telling her i will be a nurse and in mi there is a very thin line between what a lpn and a rn can do. she was not having it.

what do you guys say when people say your not a nurse.

I am a LPN, and proud of it!!!

My patients would say I'm a real Nurse.

Yes there is a difference in my scope of practice, but not in the care I give!!!

When I decided with my husband to become a nurse, we together picked my path- LPN-RN/ADN - BSN then NP.

I can't imagine not knowing what your spouse is doing or not being part of the process.

I'm a proud LPN and will be a proud RN, I will not forget my roots.
