Am I cut out for LPN?

Published

I have recently taken and passed a TEAS ( reading and math exam required for admission), and scored above the cut-off score of 80 with an overall score of 88. After taking an IQ test from a licensed psychologist - with 10 years of clinical experience - my score reflected at 95.

I have no learning disabilities or anything that will inhibit me from starting and completing courses; overall, the program is structured in 5 week blocks of two classes. My memory is average, and I have no children, or a job. I have worked to save money to live off of whilst in school.

Thank you kindly for your input. God bless.

I guess the over-riding question here is: Do you know what LPNs do? Have you job shadowed? Does it seem like something suited to your abilities and temperament?

See, the problem is, we don't know you- and the only person who DOES know if you are 'cut out to be an LPN' is- in the end- you.

Best wishes! I started as an LPN forty years ago, and have enjoyed a long and (mostly) happy career in nursing ever since.
