Anyone applied for ACC FALL 2016? This waiting process is the worst

I meant to ask how often they will send out the emails and what number alternate they were on for you, but I forgot. I'm sorry.

No worries, congrats on getting accepted!

Thank you. I'll let you know if I decide not to go to ACC. I'm making my pros/cons list today of the two schools. :) I'm sure you'll get in!

I know we have a week to accept it or not after they emailed us the acceptance letter. So just wait till next week, and i am hoping you guys will get the spot!

I'm declining so an alternate will be called up for my spot. I honestly didn't expect to get in, I just applied as an option but it's a good little distance from my house. I'd rather go somewhere closer.

I'll most likely end up declining as well. Still have more options to weigh..but I really like the idea of having smaller classes at the other location.

Where are you located tprofitt?

Yea I also like the smaller classes too and I like their 90%+ pass rate. I live closer to downtown Houston. So I'll be sitting in traffic. In the applicant meeting the lady said that the longer your in traffic, that's less time to study, less time with your family. That distance adds up.

Yeah, that's true.

BC is about 20 min from me and alvin is about 30...the only thing that will really hurt with distance for me is clinicals. BC does local clinical studies while ACC does them in the med center and galveston. Those are both about an hour away from me. However, I like the variety in the clinicals offered with alvin...tough choice to make.

Which school will you go with?

Does anyone know if the classes at Alvin are split into smart groups, or if all accepted applicants are in one classroom.

I see..well alvin is my first choice even before I moved here from vegas. I did one of their classes before which is health assessment that you can take without being accepted to nursing, pretty much a full class except 3 of us who is a non nursing students. I dont know now, especially they just have this new curriculum. But from what I have seen, they split the entire group into two class I think.

I want to maybe take health assessment or pharm this summer, if they'll let me. Make my load a little smaller.

I emailed karen, and she said there are different sections of each class, so we went ask be in one class together.

Yeah they changed it to integrated nursing. So everything is combined now. Health assesment, dosage and calculations, pharmacology, etc. are in one class. Basically, each integrated nursing are divided into each lifespan I think.
