Hi there, any of you applying to the fall 2011 program?

I am not sure. I went to see what they had already, and then decided to shop online and then bring in those prices when I go back (today) to the book store. Then I will purchase only the cheaper ones and order the others online. I found Barnes and Noble (ironicly) to be cheaper in most cases when it came to the online prices

I should of done that :( I bought foundations on amazon for 159.00 pharmacyology book for 75. I hope I didn't get ripped off too much!!

I paid 82 for the pharmachology book. They didn't have the new foundations book. I didn't see that anywhere on the internet when I looked. Isn't that the one that they said be careful getting because the DVD was not coming with the correct disk?

Lol yes I went ahead and risked getting the foundations book through amazon. I hope I dont. Regret it!! And I'm not taking any other classes either. I may later on once I get the feel.

Hi everyone,

I thought about you all today as I went to class, as they had not yet removed the orientation signage from our classroom. I am sure that orientation was exciting and hope it went well for you all. I see that you all have questions about purchasing books. Last semester, my first semester, I ordered all my books through Amazon EXCEPT Foundations. We were told by the instructors that we could get all other books in other places except the one for Foundations. The reason being is that the book comes with CD's that you will have to utilize throught the semester and the only Foundations book that comes with the CD's that ACC has chosen for us is at ACC Bookstore. ACC custmonized the Foundations book with a CD set of their choice. Some people who had already bought their book online had to still get the one at ACC in order to have the required CD's. So unless something has changed this semester and they have okayed purchasing this particular book online, I would not because you will have the wrong CD's and a lot of sites won't take books back after CD's packet is open. Also by ordering my books via Amazon I saved a little over $100 than ordering at ACC. Savings came in handy as I found out later that those supplemental books that I had not planned on buying, well they were really needed. So I later purchased some of those too which was very useful.

Ok i just got my books including the foundations book for 159 through amazon. it only took a week to get in and everything is fine. It came shrink-wrapped with the dvd that is needed for the course. If anyone wants the link to where i got it i will be more than happy to give it to you. One month and 10 days left!

anyone interested in forming a study group? Doesn't have to be any set times or dates, just a group of us that would want to get together from time to time to study. I live in off of 517 area near 646.

ok guys fee statement and schedule is posted. Mine is at least. I was looking a that blue sheet they gave us about our textbooks and was wondering about the third one on the list. Its the Scales, C. Abrams, Sylabus-Foundations of nursing practice.... Is that the actual syllabus or only a book that Alvin sells? Kind of confused there!
