Hi guys! Anyone knows an alternate mailing address of the CA BON? My school told me that Fed ex and LBC aren't accepting my document to mail on the PO BOX address of the Ca BON. Would you know if I can use the said Physical Address in the ca bon site to mail my TOR and other school requirements from my school to them? Thanks
I take it that either you're a US citizen or a dual citizen, as the CA BRN requires the SS# that allows you to be work authorized in the States.Make sure that ALL your courses were conducted in the same exact semester of taking the clinical and theory sections together, not months before or after, not a year or two later.
While the majority of the PH curriculum and your school does allow for the completion of these courses before the end of graduation, where the majority downfall and the cause of about 99% of the declined ATT approval in CA is that the concurrency of the courses were not done together.
More so, this is where the cord delivery and dressing may have been done weeks or months, some a year or two later before or after and thus, this is considered to be not concurrent that meets the CA BRN requirements.
If however, you know 100% for sure that your transcripts will indicate they were ALL completed of all courses done together at the same time frame then you're good to go.
You might want to ask your dean and those responsible in putting your transcripts for overseas review, if they have in the past year and more recent have had zero problems with any of your previous batchmates in getting the ATT approval in CA. I say recent or in the past year, as earlier years don't count.
So make sure the dean tells you there's been 100% approval of your school's curriculum in all of 2012 and 2013 passing the CA BRN requirements. There's been zero issues with your school's courses. Good luck!
Do you know anyone whose a Ph grad and recently got their ATT?
I have my SSN# and a permanent resident. I don't have any bathmates who already took the nclex but my dean told me that some of my schoolmates who graduated 2008-2011 didn't have any problems in getting their ATT. May I ask where school did you took up nursing?
Again, that's why you need to make sure that your dean states the more "current" students AND have applied into CA, not from 2008-2011, but in the last year (2013), as since Nov. 2011, the CA BRN has approved only a handful of PH grads or PH nurses.
That was the time period when the strict concurrency enforcement started and have left several thousand PH grads stranded, I last saw a report mentioned in the tunes of 5,000-6,000 and will grow again as many unsuspecting PH grads trying to come back into CA.
It seems the majority of the PH deans are mostly telling everyone..."no problems, all of our students from 2006 to 2011 have had NO troubles getting their ATT in CA". Phooey!
Ask the deans, face to face, "how about in the 2012 or 2013 applicants, how many got their ATT in CA with no problems"? Many deans are clearly evading the questions, some are very honest and will say..."don't bother to apply into CA, there are issues with getting the approvals". "Save yourself the headaches and disappointments."
Last reports coming in from the PH is that the CHED, PRC and PNA are still trying to put together an approved curriculum to resolve the concurrency issues so that one can take them in the Phils before coming to the States. Whether or not, the CA BRN will approve whatever the PH agencies puts together remains to be seen.

Are you a RN here in Cali?

To answer your original question: Yes, the address on Market Blvd, Sacramento, CA is the proper address if you don't want your documents to be sent to their P.O.Box address.
Is it ok to use that address for sending my school requirements to CA BRN?
Yes, it clearly states the address is good for "overnight delivery AND in-person delivery".
Btw, did you ask your dean for a more concise answer with the regards to the school's approval of their curriculum from those recently applying into CA for all of 2013 and had no problems of anyone of getting their ATT's?

Are you sure about that? Cause the others told me that I can't and I must use the PO box address of CA BRN. So confused.
Yes, my dean tokd me that there will be no problem in getting ATT.

Well then, that's your call. I mean, if FedEx doesn't do "overnight delivery" to a physical address, then mail it to someone in CA or in the States and have them do a "in-person delivery", it's all the same. You might as well just have it sent to the P.O.Box then but don't use FedEx or UPS or DHL or any overnight carrier service.
If I were you, place a friendly bet with your dean, tell the dean, if there's a problem in getting the ATT in CA, the dean's school or better yet, from the dean's pocket, that the dean will REFUND you the cost of the application fees AND the shipping cost. Ask the dean if you can speak with anyone that got their ATT in CA in 2013 and without having to re-take courses in CA.
My guess if that's true then those students will be one of the first ones to get the ATT approval since the Nov. 2011 strict enforcement date and lucky them!

I just called the CA BRN earlier and they told that it's ok to use their Physical address in sending my school requirements. And it'll take 12weeks of processing my application.
