Published

Hi guys! Anyone knows an alternate mailing address of the CA BON? My school told me that Fed ex and LBC aren't accepting my document to mail on the PO BOX address of the Ca BON. Would you know if I can use the said Physical Address in the ca bon site to mail my TOR and other school requirements from my school to them? Thanks

As it was mentioned earlier by another poster, FEDEX does not AND will NOT deliver to any P.O.Boxes., that type of mail goes thru the U.S. Post Office.

Simply use the physical address given by the CA BRN site, as then someone there in Sacramento must AND will physically sign for each package sent, but you must use only FEDEX, UPS or DHL, not the postal system.

Or your other option is to use the EXPRESS mail service (mailed from a post office only) that has tracking numbers to a P.O. Box address if you absolutely need to send to a P.O. Box.

Just know that you're taking a good chance of applying into CA of losing not only the application fees but the delivery cost to do all this if your transcripts do not meet the CA BRN requirements and get denied due to the concurrency issues or missing a course or two or having enough clinical hours.

The thing is that the OP is an international graduate. The board specifically said that documents as such are only honored if it's an office to office transaction. So if the OP will act in between the board and his school, the board won't honor his documents. So his best option is still use the postal system. He can also avail of the IEMS since the USPS is listed as a participating agency.

Kababayan, that's true. He can use the IEMS to the CA BRN P.O. Box with a tracking number.

I was thinking that possibly he was going to see if his PH school could deliver the same set of documents via FedEx, UPS or DHL, if he paid for the extra service going to a CA physical address.

International express mail system. It can take like 7-15 days for mail from Phil to here.

What is the difference of IEMS from snail mail?

Maybe if he has a board recognized representative filing on his behalf. Idk but the use of physical address seem vague and unheard of.

Idk if my school can use the IEMS. They told me they will use the snail mail unless if I will tell them an alternate mailing address of the Ca BRN

Yes they can use the IEMS is they will use Philpost. But you will shoulder the expense. It can cost up to 1k php depends on how much they charge for a gram right now.

Alright. Did the Ca Brn specifically requested the student handbook from your school?

The student handbook stands as a reference on what clinical practice you had and is a part of your training document and it may be requested by the board as needed.

I take it that either you're a US citizen or a dual citizen, as the CA BRN requires the SS# that allows you to be work authorized in the States.

Make sure that ALL your courses were conducted in the same exact semester of taking the clinical and theory sections together, not months before or after, not a year or two later.

While the majority of the PH curriculum and your school does allow for the completion of these courses before the end of graduation, where the majority downfall and the cause of about 99% of the declined ATT approval in CA is that the concurrency of the courses were not done together.

More so, this is where the cord delivery and dressing may have been done weeks or months, some a year or two later before or after and thus, this is considered to be not concurrent that meets the CA BRN requirements.

If however, you know 100% for sure that your transcripts will indicate they were ALL completed of all courses done together at the same time frame then you're good to go.

You might want to ask your dean and those responsible in putting your transcripts for overseas review, if they have in the past year and more recent have had zero problems with any of your previous batchmates in getting the ATT approval in CA. I say recent or in the past year, as earlier years don't count.

So make sure the dean tells you there's been 100% approval of your school's curriculum in all of 2012 and 2013 passing the CA BRN requirements. There's been zero issues with your school's courses. Good luck!
