You can call me Cedeno, and I'll be applying for the MDC nursing program for fall 2013! I've been excited for awhile now, especially since MDC (and all its red tape) has delayed my intended apply date twice (originally Fall 2012, then Spring 2013). Ah, but no worries!
Right now I'm taking my last bit of classes before applying: A&P 2 w/lab, Micro, and Critical Thinking/Ethics. I've seen many nursing students this semester-- which is wonderful-- but at the same time I think two words when I meet another pre-nursing student: "Awesome! " and "Competition! " (Not seriously, but in a jokey kind of way.)
Once admitted, I'd love to form a study group. Size isn't quite so much the priority as cohesiveness is (though size counts!). I'd love study mates who like to utilize chats like Google talk, Skype, Kik, etc. for times when perhaps we'd like to study something but cannot make it to a physical location.
I'm a visual and auditory learner, so I love highlighters, dry-erase boards, and discussing questions together to ensure everyone understands rather than one person offering up the answer and others just accepting it without knowing.

....Also if you take the TEAS twice is it highest score used or last test taken?

Hi gh17 we in the same boat I applied for full time transitional bridge I'm still waiting hopefully by Friday we hear something. I try to register for the teas & July is sold out.
Hey all! Congrats to everyone who got accepted. I started reading your posts from the very beginning, and I can only imagine how stressful this has been for you all.
I am a student at MDC Hmstd and I have two more semesters to complete before I can apply to the program. I am taking Micro with lab this Fall, as well as Ethics and Critical Thinking.
Quick question...when you apply, are you able to select your campus or do they place you where they want to? The reason I am asking, is because I live in Homestead. Of course I would like to go to that campus as opposed to driving to the medical campus. I read one post where someone explained how they determine your campus, but I just want to be sure. Thanks!

Does anyone know if we are allowed to apply for the May 1st deadline if our final grades come in on May 4th? Technically, I will be finished with all of my pre-req's by then, but the only thing that would be missing would be my posted grades. I seriously doubt they will even be reviewing and evaluating applications a few days after deadline closes.
