Hello all;
I am an LPN @ a LTC facility. My DON is currently unavailable to answer my concerns. I recently recieved notice from the Disciplanary Dept. of the State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners. It appears that I have been accused of allowing a patient to eat a meal in his room when orders where to have all meals in dining room. This supposedly occured in April of 2007. My question is: What documentation should I provide to the Board to answer these charges? I have only a few days remaining to submit information or documents to show that I have not violated any law and/or rule. Thank you in advance for any information you provide.

Please contact an attorney for advice on how to proceed in defending your license against these charges.
Good luck!

We cannot advise you on any legal matter, even if it's nursing-related, because it is beyond our scope of practice. Your best bet is to find an attorney who is experienced in health care issues.
Best of luck to you.
