Moving to Anchorage

U.S.A. Alaska

Published

Hi everyone,

I should graduate in December and plan on moving to Anchorage soon after. I was wondering how the job market is for new grads and I'd greatly appreciate any advice for my future job search! I will only have an associate degree, which I know is a disadvantage, but I will start an RN-BSN program in January if all goes as planned. I do have four years experience as a medic in the army, but I'm not sure how far that will get me. Thanks in advance for your help!

Specializes in Dialysis.

Check online job postings to that area and look under the Alaska board on AN

Specializes in NICU.

Providence has a great New graduate program. I started here in the NICU back in February, it was my dream job and I love it so much. They hire all over the hospital for new grads...just not sure about not having a BSN....I would call and ask their HR. Best of Luck

Not a new grad, but will be moving up there in about a month to work at Alaska Native medical center. I have read in a couple places that they have new grad residency programs.
