Hello guys! I've been reading all the Air Force nursing posts and threads for a few months now, but it doesn't seem like there's been much activity on people applying this July for NTP. I'm just looking for other people who've applied and are twiddling their thumbs like me!! Anyone out there applying for the NTP and not COT?!

Hmm. Your recruiter thinks it won't be until October that we'll find out? I'm debating calling mine but not sure if it's really worth it bc basically no one seems to know when or what will happen you know?

They are waiting for the FY numbers, which usually have to be in by the 15th, which is what my recruiter stated......I say, call yours as well, the more info the better, even if there are twelve different answers ;)

The FY '15 begins in October....I am assuming that the numbers will be figured out before the FY even starts. I don't think we will be waiting until October!

I'll paste below the e-mail I received:

The 14NC04 board release was scheduled for 28 July; however, we are still waiting for FY15 finalized HP requirements, once we get that, we will proceed with the board release.

I also received a very similar email from my recruiter. He sent it to me on the 29th of June and I contacted him yesterday about the results and he basically reiterated what he had told me before... "June 28th was the estimated release date of 14NC04; however, the results are delayed with no new estimated release date to give at this time. Until the SG [surgeon General] community gives us our FY15 requirements we can't select anyone". Since the Fiscal Year (FY) starts in October (is it October 1st?), we could definitely be waiting until around then to hear the results. (since the results for the new fiscal year just have to be made before the previous FY ends) It's kind of impossible for our recruiters to give us an exact date, because the decision for the FY2015 can literally be released anywhere from now until the end of the FY2014 (Sept 30th?).

All this waiting definitely sucks! but really all we can do is "hurry up and wait". I'm just way glad we have this forum, so we can all hear from each other, otherwise I'd go insane!

I doubt that we will be waiting until the end of fiscal all the budgeting is done before the end, like my recruiter said. I do think that we will find out any day now. I am going to call my recruiter again tomorrow to get an update.

Justgettingby- You are very right. They have already approved the classes and school budget, they are just tying up some loose ends, but the budget is always released before the actual fiscal year.

I read somewhere that plans for the next fiscal year (that starts in Oct) need to be in by Sept 15.

I hope that is true, because maybe that means they will release the list today, maybe Monday... I would prefer to enjoy good news over the weekend though... :)

Any business savy people here to confirm that?
