Air Force NTP Applicant FY17

Published

Anyone looking at applying for USAF NTP program for FY17? I am trying to get the process going, but having a hard time getting consistent comms with the recruiter in my region. I was told Nurse Corps recruiting business has been moved from the Goodyear (AZ) station to the Aurora/Denver station. Spoke once a few weeks ago with a SGT Brown in the Aurora/Denver office, but haven't been able to get a hold of him since then via phone - no one answers the phone and there is no option to leave a voicemail. I failed to get his email address the one time I talked to him, so can't contact via email. Anyone have any insight?

@Sully026 - This board is talking about the one that met 5 August 2016 to select recruits for COT anywhere between OCT-JAN 2016/2017 and somebody correct me but it may have reviewed some of next years applicants as well. You can ask your recruiter if you are unsure of your results.

Yes please join us in our FB group AF COT 17-01

...and congratulations to all who got selected!!

Congratulations! Please join FB group AF COT 17-01 it'll be nice to get to know each other before we all go COT! :)

Anyone have any news when their MEPS are going to be and when and where COT is?

I did MEPS before I submitted my packet. I got my cot date. It is January 9!

Oh and cot is in Montgomery Alabama

How was MEPS for you? @akingslan. My recruiter is in Hawaii but won't be back until late this month so I won't know when I'll be doing my MEPS and where I'll be going.

I've been to MEPS before so it wasn't too bad. It's awkward and a long day but it's one day-you can do it! :) and everyone has COT in the same place.

If anyone is going to COT in March we have a FB page now: USAF COT 17-3

Hey everyone! I know all of you have already gone through the NTP process so I was just wondering if there is anything I should know before I apply. From what my recruiter was telling me it seems too good to be true, so I wanted to know if you guys had any tips before i get started with the process.

Hello everyone. Congratulations to everyone who was selected, I am excited for you. I was a non-select for the July/August 2016 Boards. I graduated with a BSN this May, and am working on re-applying for the board in July 2017. I will have a little over 1 year of nursing experience in Med/Surg by then, and I will be considered Fully Qualified (FQ). Does anyone happen to know hat selection rates are like for the FQ program at all? My recruiter said the process of applying was basically the same, but if anyone has more information that would be very helpful!

Hi! Sorry to jump in on this thread but I'm looking to apply for NTP this year but I guess it would been FY 2018. I'm in the early stages (talking with a recruiter) anyone know where to find more info out about the different career tracks to take? Ie ob, medsurg, or OR? Long story short we got stationed in England right after I graduated nursing school. We have just over a year left here so I thought the NTP would be a great start for me! My interest are mainly critical care either peds or adult or even the ER. I was a tech in an adult ICU and had a job lined up there and we had to move í ½í¸© I'm not sure which path to take now, any tips? Thanks!
