Hey all! I'm applying as a fully qualified applicant in September for the NICU identifier. Anyone else applying next month? I heard from my recruiter that the board meets September 11. The only thing left I have to do is my Chief Nurse Officer interview next Friday. I haven't really heard of too many speciality applicants this time around, so would be great to hear from someone! Ha
Okay. Already had my chief nurse interview but not a specialty. I mentioned it to my recruiter and he thought I already had it done. Honestly I felt that my chief nurse interview combined the two from the questions that were asked. But now that I know it's required I'll expect one hopefully soon. Anyone else have theirs already? Am I the only one that did the CN first?
I don't think it matters which interview you do first. They both just have to be done prior to your package being submitted. Unless your chief nurse was the specialist for the area you're applying. But I found that both interviews had the same kind of questions. They have specific questions they have to ask....critical thinking, deployments, examples. same old interview questions.
I'm new to the board. I have my CNO interview on the 9th and my specialty interview for OB on the 10th. I'm a little nervous. My recruiter sent me an outline of what to expect for the interview. He said interview is about 1hr long then tour of hospital. It's been a long time coming. I started this process in Mar 2014 & two recruiters and a ton of paperwork and emails later, it is finally coming together.
Had my CNO interview yesterday and my specialty interview today. I think they went OK. Now it's a waiting game. I'm trying to be optimistic, but I'm 41 years old and feel that will be a hindrance. I probably won't try this again if I don't get selected. We'll have to wait and see what happens. Good luck to everyone.

I have applied as a critical care rn. I had my specialty interview already. Basically just asked me questions about my experience. It was about 30 minutes long. I have my chief nursing interview tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
