Hi all please post if you are attending Air Force COT in May 2016! I am selected as Flight Nurse and my duty station will be Scott AFB. :)

Yes I found out unofficially. I think the official results are coming out today if I'm not mistaken.

Ugh! I'm so jealous that you found out! I keep texting and emailing my recruiter to fnid out and he said nothing is up yet! I'm not so good at being "patient."

Has anyone else heard anything? I am still waiting to hear from my recruiter. I was selected for icu. The last time i heard from him he said they still haven't heard anything official. Please reply if you were selected this year and have heard from your recruiter. It seems like linds28 is on top of the game.

That's great news! I just got done with MEPS yesterday and am waiting for the next steps. Plan is to attend RCOT next year as well. Long process but patiently waiting.

After MEPS, what else did you go through?

Hi linds28, I've watched these threads for a while now as I work finishing up my BSN (will be finished in December). I was wondering if you could tell me about your qualifications to be selected for flight nurse? Do you have prior flight nurse experience? I'm currently in Trauma ICU. Thanks so much!

The AF doesn't direct commission active duty flight nurses. The AF Reserves and Air Guard will take you if you have critical care experience; I imagine kinds28 is joining one of those components.

I think there are still only 4 active duty AE squadrons. It's an intense application process but ICU experience is great to have that is also my background. A flight physical is required in addition to Meps. I am geared to take my CFRN exam soon.
