Air Force Board Results

Published

Just got the call from my recruiter! I've been accepted! I am so excited.

My recruiter was one of 3 nationwide who had all of his applicants accepted.

Initially, I was told that I would find out my COT date, NTP location, and assignment when I was notified of the results. However, my recruiter just informed me that the results were released but all the other information should be released next week.

Good luck to everyone! Can't wait to hear who has made it.

So this is an email my recruiter sent me: can anyone verify they've heard similar? I was also told this is for March COT and NTP...

Board Cutoff: 12 Dec 2009

Suspense Cutoff: 29 Dec 2009

Board Date: 8 Jan 2010

Estimated release Date: 27 Jan 2010

JayBSN,

Those dates seem correct for the January board...but did you apply for the December board which has a board date of Dec 4th? I applied for Dec board, package submitted in November, and I'm still waiting for the results. My recruiter told me that hopefully, the results will be out by the first week of Jan 2010.

Honestly, I don't know. I applied for the November board back in August but something prevented my app from going in. I can't get a straight answer from my recruiter. He promised me January COT and February NTP and now he's saying March COT but from reading the boards that doesnt look promising either.

Specializes in FNP cardiology, ER.

Are these dates for the "extra" board people are talking about? I was told the Jan board wasn't until the end of the month like around the 26th or so.

Specializes in ED. ICU, PICU, infection prevention, aeromedical e.

Be careful with hearsay and rumors about boards.

I just realized that the NTP and non-NTP boards are different, hence the different dates. My package for the non-NTP board was actually late for the cut off date, but my recruiter asked for a 2-week extension, and she told me that it went through. So now, just the waiting part.

Specializes in L&D, mother/baby, antepartum.

I feel the pain of each of you awaiting notification!

I also applied for non-NTP commission around the holidays. I submitted my package in October for a December board. Unfortunately I didn't hear about my acceptance until March! Mind you, this was a few years ago so I'm hoping they have streamlined the process somewhat.

What I can tell you is that nearly everyone takes leave this time of year and everything slows to a near halt. This could be part of the delay in hearing anything from "the board"--which is actually a bunch of individuals that review applications at different times, not all at once as one might think. I'm not trying to make the wait more painful for all of you. I just want you to know that in addition to dealing with an already painfully slow process, the holidays make the process even slower.

Best of luck to each of you waiting. I hope you hear good news soon after the new year!
