AHA BLS confusion

Folks, I am confused about whether or not I can renew my AHA BLS online. I've been working in community psych which required American Red Cross BLS, and now I am starting a travel position that requires AHA BLS. I took the original AHA BLS for the healthcare provider class a few years ago but it has expired. Is there a way to renew it online? Can you folks point me in the right direction because there seems to be a lot of conflicting info from my Google searches.

I apologize in advance if this makes me sound like a dope, it's just not something I've had to deal with in a long time.

Usually you can purchase the HeartCode portion online, but you must also complete a hands on skills demonstration to be issued the card.
