Aghhhhh....St. Joe's offered me a job and I had to turn it down!

Oh, that was SO painful to do. I called the human resources interviewer a couple weeks ago, thanking her for the interview and asking her to please pull my name from the applicant list, as I just can't take the job, between the 90 minute commute and the contractual obligation the extern job requires. I left a nice voicemail message and was glad that I didn't actually have to speak to someone, because I was afraid I'd change my mind. The nursing/education department called me today ANYWAY, and offered me an externship position. Oh, it was SO hard to say no, and I'm still wondering if I did the right thing. I could be working 2 months from now, and I could quit my job that I hate. :crying2:

I know it's the right thing, but still....it was HARD.

I agree, you did the right thing. Rush hour traffic is a bear especially anywhere around I-17.

At least it's good to know you are in demand!

Specializes in cardiac/education.

Awwww...you did do the right thing! You would hate to commit to that and absolutely hate that commute! Any other job you can get in your parts that would help ya? Hey, I am all for leaving a job you hate. I am going to do it!LOL! But, for nothing nursing related:uhoh3:

Hey, you should be proud! YOU got offered a job! Congrats, you are what they are looking for!! You did everything right too so you have nothing to be ashamed about!:p
