What an awful few days
Have had my contract terminated by the hospital that i worked for via an agency and the agency has also terminated my contract.
They have said that i have acted unprofessionally, which i can assure you i havent, and that i have breeched my contract.
Therefore thank you very much you are now jobless oh and we will stop your medical insurance and cause you wont be able to pay your rent in 9 days time you will be homeless soon too but the icing on the cake is that the termination fee that you are liable for of $15,000 is due in 10 business days. If you can t pay ........ we will report you to the credit agencies.
Have a nice day.
Has anyone else been thru this have you come out of the other side did you manage to get another job after being fired,

I tell you the next few weeks is not looking good.

I'm so sorry to hear this has happened to you, it's awful the way you have been treated From reading your other post, I know which agency this is, and there are quite a few other UK nurses with the same agency, hopefully they will respond to your post. I can't offer you any practical advice about what to do next but just wanted to say please keep coming to allnurses.......we can at least give you some moral support. The moderator of the UK Nursing Forum, Kay, aka madwife2002, is with the same agency and she also has had her fair share of problems since she arrived in the US.....if she sees your post I'm sure she'll respond.
Please keep in touch :icon_hug:

my advice to you would be get a lawer to look at the contract to see if you actually are breaking your contract, or if there is anyway you can retaliate if they have stepped out of line themselves.
what concerns me is what grounds thay have to say you have broken your contract in the first place? in the contract it should specify reasons they can fire you if the reason they have fired you isnt on there then they are probably in the wrong!
good luck

Your post didn't say- How much longer until your contract is finished? If you haven't done anything wrong, than you definetely need to find a lawyer to help you get to the bottom of the issue and help you figure out what you can do to protect yourself. If the hospital and agency can just terminate you without a blink of an eye, this opens up a very scary facet to signing on with an agency. Please keep us informed as to what happens.

Girls look at your own contract and then advice if the agency has broken it or not!!! If you know what i mean I'm sure you have one lying around somewhere. She has 15 months left of her contract.
