A little over 20 yrs ago I first heard of Regents College (Excelsior now) as I was in the military and an EMT then. Too afraid to start the program, I have since retired from the military, went to LPN school and have been an LPN for 2 years now.
I'm excited to say that I finally started taking nursing exams today 9/23/2011 and I passed my first exam with a B! (Health safety) and now only 6 more to go (I get to skip Health differences as an LPN under 5 yrs).
I registered for the Transition exam today and I'll be officially enrolling after that. Wish me luck, I hope to get done with the exams in 6 months and hopefully be an RN 10 - 12 months from now......just hoping at this point.
Good luck all, I'll keep you posted as I pass anymore tests.

p.s. I know 2 RN's that I work with went from LPN to RN through Excelsior, so I know it can be done.

You can do it, too. There are a lot of amazing people on this site that will be here to encourage
you and comfort you if that's what you need. This is a wonderful site for all of us to come and keep
track of each other and connect with others that are in similar situations!!
GOOD LUCK!! You can do it!!!!
