Hello! Anyone in here took the qualifying exams last May? Did you passed? Are you already done with your interview? Have you passed the requirements? Sorry for having such questions, I am just looking for someone who's also part of the program since i dont know anyone from the list :) Good Day!

@amaezing12 thank you for the reply. What are the requirements for enlistment? And is there a required height?[/quote']

Requirements will only be asked once you passed the exam. You will just go to AFPMC Nursing Training Office and write your name. :) There is also no required height for RN Residency, unless you're planning to be a Military Nurse. :)

Registration for the next batch of RN Residency Program (February) will start on September 16. Just go to the Nursing Education and Training Branch. You also dont need to pass anything since it will just be asked once you passed the exam, just go there and write your name. :)

thank you for the update! i am so blessed to have read this page before sept 16 because usually i got to read an update a little late...

if it is not too much to ask, may i ask about the exam.? like what are the topics covered by the exam... sorry to ask... i wanted to prepare for he exam since i havent been working for 5 years... thank you in advance!

See you guys there on September 16!

Hello, fellow nurses! I just have a question, is this training for free? I know you will receive no allowance or pay once you start training, but do you need to pay anything just like in Lung Center, you need to pay for 10,000 pesos for their training? Also, are they strict with board rating? Like, do you need to have 80% and above board rating to enter? So sorry for asking too many questions :sorry:

I'm also curious like ManalastasCar, since I'm thinking of applying as trainee and it's been three years since I graduated in nursing school :) Can you guys give a little tips on the topics included on the qualifying exam? Pretty please? :shy:

Thank you in advance for answering!

You don't have to pay for the training.

They are not strict with board rating especially if you have a BACKER,

but having a high board rating is a PLUS.

The qualifying exam is more on Funda and MS. But of course, OB, pedia, etc. and especially drug computations are possible.

Whew! That's really good to know then. I don't have a backer though, but then again I don't really want to get into something just because of having a backer ;)

Thanks for answering my questions, nurses_care_2012! I appreciate it a lot!

Sorry for my late reply. I've been busy for the past weeks and were about to start our clinical duty this September. :) Anyway, thanks nurses_care_2012 for answering their questions :)

There's no limit on the board rating or gwa. I myself dont have a backer but was still able to pass the exam. Topics include fundamentals, MS, and a lot of computations (drug dosage and flow rate). Do not stress yourself reviewing, just know the import

*just know the important things. :)

Good luck!

What ward are you going to report on duty? :) I'm an outgoing RN Res. Experience in AFPMC is really worth it. You will really learn a lot. I'm going to miss this institution so much.

Thank you so much for taking time in answering questions despite your busy schedule! You're so nice :) And knowing that you didn't have any backer (like me) made me feel more confident in applying. Thank you! Do you know when they'll start accepting applicants? I was thinking of going to V. Luna next week (September 9th) Do you think it's too early?

Also, good luck on your training! :)

@nurses_care_2012 sadly, as of now they are not yet releasing as to what area are we into, but they told us that maybe tomorrow they will tell us where. You also have the same feedback as my friend with regards to the training. She's also an outgoing RN Res. Anyway, this would be my first exposure as RN, so Im both excited and nervous and Im really hoping that I will learn a lot, as what you've said. :)

@veela according to whats been posted on the training office, they will start their registration on Sept 16, I just dont know if they will accept or entertain you guys if you visit them earlier. Sorry :(

Ill try my best to visit this forum every night to help you guys out. Just ask anything and Ill do my best to give you the answer asap. :) Godbless everyone
