Affinity drug testing

Published

I have entered a probation with monitoring agreement with the board of nursing. I am to have random drug testing for a year including possible hair testing. The board uses Affinity testing. Do they usually do hair tests first thing when you start? I would assume they wouldn’t because obviously I would have had meds/alcohol in my system. Would they require hair testing towards the end to ensure compliance? Not sure how ‘random’ these tests are.

We test 5x a month. 4 urine one of which is observed and one blood test and all are at least 50 plus lab fee. No weekends though

So my case manager got it cleared as prescriber positive so it no longer shows as non compliance

Hi do you know what was tested in the 738868 test? Is that one for just regular ethanol or ETG? Thanks

So usually a hair test is performed at your initial evaluation. Now I have had a blood test performed weeks after entering the program. So stop using anything immediately.  You may or may not require hair testing at the end. It really doesn't matter as you will be clean anyways the test are very random so it's no way around it.

Hi I'm looking for what are tested in the different options for affinity? My friends says there are options 1-6 and he usually gets option 3. Just was wondering which one tests for ETG which is a urine test. Thanks again!

Etg can be added on any test.

Pretty sure option 1 is ethanol and option 2 is ETG/ETS. I usually get either of those and option 1 is cheaper

Thanks for the information, my question is why are there so many options to choose from? seems like they would get most everything in just a few options and my sheet has 11 on them. Just didn't make sense there are so many options to choose from. Wonder how they decide what to test for as well? thanks
