Hello everyone! I am a new board passer and I would love to apply to hospitals, especially in Manila. What should I do? How will I prepare for all of these? What are the requirements.. Please help!!!! Thank you!

hi,,im also same with you,,i think you should go to the hospital you like, then ask for their requirements.

most of the hospitals require same documents such as resume, tor, rle, cert of passing, license, diploma, other certificates relevant to your application as your credentials... go to the hospital you wish to apply with a ready folder with all of these documents, so you will not waste time asking what they need.. if they require other requirements then provide them.. Just remember your like a soldier now..so bring your weapons... be armmed.. goodluck with your application...:balloons:

Hi. :) It's very good that you're applying for a hospital job and not hurrying yourselves to go somewhere else, after all it takes 2-3 years to get to that "somewhere else" so working as a nurse here in the country will be a very rewarding exposure to an equally demanding and stressful job. So arm yourself with the right exposure.

Let me share with you a few tips BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE.

There are plenty of hospitals in Manila but I suggest you apply to those that are accredited by JCI to make sure that they follow standards that are the same as those practiced in the US. Initial applicants only need to bring with them resumes but to be safe take with you everything that concerns nursing. Everything means copies of Diploma, Transcript of Records, Board rating, PRC license and certification, NBI clearance, ID pictures, etc. Use the internet to look for specifics that each of the hospitals require. I'm sure you can find it in their websites.

If you have very good ratings, most likely they will set up an initial interview. Questions in the initial interview are general, ex. tell me something about yourself, if given a chance what ward would you want to get assigned, what is your expected salary, etc. Don't get nervous at this point. :)

If you pass the interview and a couple of tests (personality), they will set up a panel interview. This is the time to show off all the theoretical things that you learned in school. Most questions are based by the book so make sure you review. The final interview is usually done by head managers/supervisors. I remember the question given to me during the final interview was about cerebral palsy. Lucky me. I reviewed on it the night before I was scheduled for my panel.

Good luck on the job hunt.

hi! if you have computer with internet browser you may want to search the different hospital around metro manila.by then you can see the hospital profile and job posting and their requirements for certain job position...

Thank you very much for all your replies!!! All are really appreciated!!! =) I will do my best to pass all those interviews, I will prepare all the requirements, and of course I will prepare myself! I have experienced being intervied a lot of times, since I was a working student before. And yes, I will try not to be nervous! hehe. Thank you again! God Bless you all!

well basically you need to be in a business attire, no maong and no sandals... present yourself as a professional but dont be in a white uniform..

Thank you! I have heard someone that when applying in a hospital, one should wear the white uniform. Thank you so much!!! =)

that is a no no... ive read that from a career advancement book for nurses that you should not be in a white uniform when your applying for a job, that is why its called a uniform, it should only be worn on the institution if your already working with them or youll wear it with a specific institution only....

additional is that definitely do not wear sleeveless...hehe

definitely business attire my dear! It's a must!

Thanks for all our advise! All of those makes sense. I hope I could have my hospital job in a short time. God Bless you all!
