My wife and i have start dates already and we are at a dilema re: what and what not to take with us bearing in mind 2 young kids. Is it wise and financially beneficial to bring furnitures and household items? Also advice on which removal company to use will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I am in Nova Scotia and not working but once we get this all sorted hopefully will get a part time job, the course have to be done first and I can't work as a nurse without the college giving me the OK etc. I am lucky it was dh that got the work permit. We have really settled well here absolutely love it even the winter has had it moments but such a difference seeing blue skies in winter instead of grey. If you check out my journal you should see some pictures https://allnurses.com/journal.php?do=showjournal&j=176

Hi and welcome to the site
You need a employer before you apply for a work permit, employer will more than likely look for OK from college before accepting you or may accept you on provision you are accepted by the college. There are a few threads discussing the process in the International forum plus there are a few UK nurses recently made the transition. I although in Canada am still going through the process and do need to make some courses up due to the way my training was recorded. A lot will depend on your transcripts and that you have hours both theory and practical in all areas
