Any advice please for me is appreciated. I have been in healthcare for 12 years and have been out of nursing school for 2. I have taken boards and failed at 265 more then once. On all my reviews I score above the national average. I always get the entire exam. I have done reviews and always score extremely high and was a good student in school as well. I am 30 I know there are some very intelligent people on this website and I would love some feedback. Thanks.
Make sure when you are practicing review questions, that you are not answering the same questions that you have answered correctly before. It is a waste of time answering questions that you already know the answer to. It also gives you a false sense of security. "I got a 90 on that test, I got this" except that most of the questions you have answered numerous times and memorized the answer. That is why I liked Kaplan. It allowed me to generate a test with only questions I missed and questions that I had not seen before.
I used Uwolrd also, but for NCLEX PN. I bought it 5 days before my exam. I was able to do 600+ question and my percentage were at the range 38% to 61%. I also used NCSBN online course for about 7 weeks. As of now, I'm waiting for my official result. I tried the PVT miltiple times and after 48hours and its a GOOD POP UP.
I have used u world multiple times i fail 265 with near passing.. u world made me strong in content but lack of strategies so i am using kaplan since i have used u world before multiple times.. Good luck to you and stay positive and I feel you because i am in the same boat. my advise don't wait too long. I failed a week ago and I registered to take it within month and half.
Nursetobe89 that is what is so frustrating . To get the entire test more then once. Honestly you go through all that school and it's a wasted degree if you can't pass boards. It just disappoints me. And I hurt for others as well. Because I know they work hard and study and still can't pass this test. I just want it done and over with.
