Advice please!

Hi,

I need to transfer school (in addition to getting a horrible mark and having an evil teacher, long story). If I applied to another school using my high school marks, will they find out I already went to another college? Maybe through College of Nurses of Ontario?

Please help! Thanks in Advance!

The CNO is the body you register with when you get your licence. They would have no record of you if you were just a student. If you are planning transferring schools they will see your old marks likely.Or are you planning on just starting all over again?

CNO doesn't know you exist until your licensed like Lori said above.

How far in the program are you? and which program? RPN? RN?

If you are asking if the Ontario University Application Centre will realize you were already enrolled in a program if you apply using the OUAC 101 form, then the answer is yes, suggest you contact the OUAC and find out if you should use the OUAC 105 form to apply to transfer schools, http://www.ouac.on.ca/undergrad/undergrad.html

Also, you may want to check and see if any programs in your vicinity have openings http://www.ontariocolleges.ca/portal/page/portal/ONTCOL/SearchResult/HEALTH-MEDICAL-NURSING/_/N-lo6p?Dym=1&No=0&Np=1&Nty=1&Qo=20&metaTagParam=nursing

Honesty is important. Things have a habit of coming back and biting you when you least expect it. It could even be considered falsifying your educational background.

What If I use another address (because I moved since the last time I applied via OUAC), would they still know it's me? I know this sounds bad, but I really need to escape this school. The teachers are just terrible.

Just did the first semester. I've been thinking of dropping for more than a month before the semester ended. I actually did fairly well in all of my courses except for the one with the evil teacher (I'm not even kidding). I just pretty much want to start all over. Will another school know that I already went to another school?

I hear what you're saying, but I hope God makes an exception this time. I really can't stay at this school. I just can't take any of these professors. They are so unfair!!! I've heard negative things about the professors at this school, but I didn't believe it until I experienced it myself.

Sometimes students have an experience that makes them want to re-start with a clean slate. The first step in making a decision to transfer schools, is to become fully informed. Make appointments to speak to the student advisors at your current school and the school you wish to transfer to. If, after fully understanding your options, you decide a transfer is the best solution for you, contact OUAC to clarify which form you should use. Application forms usually have unique identifiers such as student numbers, social insurance numbers and OUAC will be able to identify you even if you have a different address from your previous application.

So would OUAC or OCAS actually tell the School I plan to attend that I've already went to another School?

You may have to just face the music and come clean about your previous schooling. If the school uncovers obvious manouvering to cover up the last school you went to it will not shine very favorably on you. Also be prepared for the fact that you may not like all the teachers that you have at the new school either. Quitting a program because you didn't hit it off with one instructor is a bit drastic. I found that you WILL run into people (both in nursing school and on the job) that you don't like and it will seem they are out to "get you"(think managers) and you can't just quit or leave every situation when it happens. You may have to learn to deal with these people instead of running away. You also mentioned getting a horrible mark. You will have to examine what was behind you getting a bad mark, it is not always the teachers fault, and look at how you can do things differently as a student.
