Ask for daily and weekly feedback from your preceptor so there will be no surprises.

Ask as many questions as necessary.
Be eager to learn new things.
Realize that a majority of criticism is constructive criticism to help you be a better nurse.
If you don't understand something, ask. Do not guess, assume, or fake it.
