ADVICE NEEDED!! What should I do?

Nurses Career Support

Hello,

I would like advice on my next step...I am a new RN but I have been an LPN previously (5 years). I was offered a job on a med surge/tele unit(internship) at a local hospital and I accepted BUT the next day I got a call from two other hospitals wanting to panel interview me for a labor and delivery internship position. I want to know if I should go to the interviews or just stick with the job that I accepted?? On a side note....one of the reasons I went back to school is to become a labor and delivery nurse but now I don't know what to do with this job, I mean i'm not even sure that they will even offer me a l/d position and I don't want to burn my bridges with the place that I did accept the position with. The pay is all the same no matter where I go so that's not a factor BUT the job I accepted is much closer than the other two hospitals that are offering the l/d internship. HELP!!!

Thanks in advance for responses!!!

First off...why even come on my page and respond in a negative way (just curious why someone would want to do that) and second off, I decided to go AFTER getting positive responses from experienced nurses on here....KEEP IT MOVING IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY. THANKS FOR BEING CURIOUS AND I HOPE YOU FOUND WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR

My question wasn't negative, and I'm sorry you found it that way. Most people need more than 3 responses to convince them of anything.

You'll find if you're here long enough, that "my page" doesn't exist on allnurses.

But in the interest of peace and civility, I will leave "your page" with an apology.
