I am starting the nursing program at WCCCD in Detroit. I don't have insurance and I am looking for a place to get all of my medical tests done. Any suggestions?

Inquire w/ your school if they have any discount deal w/ a local laboratory. If not, we used Midwest Labs on Schaefer just north of Mi Avenue for our testing at HFCC. You may when to give them a call.
Midwest Health Center PC. 5050 Schaefer Rd. Dearborn, MI 48126 (313) 581-2600
Good luck.

I am also starting the nursing program on Jan 09 and I don't have health insurance too. Is there anyone here who knows a clinic or a health center that is cheap and close to canton? I am a foreign student and still new in Michigan. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I have called around and have gotten nowhere with the numbers provided with the paper sent with the acceptance letter from WCCCD, but I did call the Midwest clinic in Dearborn and the prices they gave me totaled to around $220.00, much less than I expected. The health departments were only offering TB tests and vaccines.
Thanks, will that include all of the blood work and immunization? I will try to call them tomorrow.
Yes, it included everything, she also said we need a drug test which my letter did not say, but that's included in the price. She said the titers have to be drawn first and then when they come back they will do a physical.
Thanks again. Another thing, is it okay to email you if ever I have a question with regards to our nursing subjects? we may be classmates next month and sometimes it is easy to study when you have someone you can ask when you don't understand something.
that should be fine

When I started the nursing program in August I was able to get all my vaccinations for free at the health dept. because I was a nursing student.
I got my physical done at concentra on greenfield for 35 dollars.
Thanks, maybe I'll try that and have the physical exam to another clinic. So if you choose to have the boosters, then the titers are not necessary ?
