Advice when applying for jobs

Published

I have been working my first nursing job for a few months. Due to financial reasons, I will unfortunately be applying to other jobs. I have bills to pay and my first job as a nurse is not making ends meet. So when I apply for other jobs, do I list my current employer even though it has only been a few months?

If the application asks for all former employers, then yes. Why would you not want to disclose? Are you afraid of looking like a job hopper? Consider also that a prospective employer might also question stretches of time spent NOT working.

Are other jobs in your area hiring new grads, and will they pay more than your current employer?

Good luck!
