I'm contemplating taking these classes over the summer, mostly to get them out of the way when I (hopefully) start the nursing program in the Fall of 2014. They are not required to apply for the program but they do need to be taken if I'm to transfer to IU for my Bachelors after my ASN is done. Is this doable? I'm confident about Lifespan but Advanced Human Physio has me worried abut it as an accelerated class. Opinions?

The Lifespan Development class was extremely time consuming. I took it as an online summer class and was shocked by how much reading and study there was. I'm sure every teacher is different, but know the class isn't a cake walk. I've also taken Nutrition, American Federal Government and Composition 2 as online 8-week classes and didn't think they were difficult at all.
Are you just taking classes or do you work and have a family? If you're a full-time student you should be able to handle the Physio class too, if you work really hard. Just make sure that you're leaving yourself enough time to absorb the material. Physiology is one of, if not the most important class you take in pre-nursing.

Lifespan is basically fluff, so: completely doable. Like the pp said, the only thing I'd be concerned about would be having enough time to actually absorb the material in physiology. If you can memorize large amounts of information quickly and have plenty of time to study then you could do perfectly well grade-wise but since physiology is more or less the foundation of nursing school curriculum you need to make sure you're retaining it.
I have kids, no job take full 12 hour of classes. A nurse that comes to take care of my daughter, so I have time to my self to study. I guess what I'm hoping is that since I will have taken A&P 1/2 and gone over it already it will be somewhat of a refresher? I have a high A in anatomy now. I have noticed that online classes have a lot of fluff in them to make sure you do the work, etc. This would be in class if I can find one, both of them.
