Can anyone tell me if they have taken this?
How is this different from PALS?
One of the doctors I work with said it is more trauma focused but couldn't give me any further information.
Please advise.
Thanks

I have taken both-PALS is geared toward recognition of resp failure and shock and their management. APLS is a comprehensive emergency medicine course o pediatric emergencies. I would recommend both!!

I found APLS to be much more in depth. Alot more hands on. PALS is like ACLS alot of need to know stuff (algo's)but taught in a "nice" fashion where everyone passes essentially.I would recomend both.

APLS you only do once - there is no recert. PALS is due every two years. Our ED only recognizes PALS and ENPC.
Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it.
