I wanted to make this thread. For the RN. So,we can help out one another or ask questions. Feel free.
Congratulations to everyone that got in! I wasn't accepted for the fall but I'm reapplying for the spring. Did anyone have to go through the declaratory order process? If so, how long did it take to hear back from the board?
I did. Back in November. The things I declared were over 20 yrs ago, so it was a non issue. I was honest and thorough. It took a bit of time. Remember, two week after they have received it you should go get your prints done. It took a bit of time after that. Good luck!
I submitted my paperwork in December but didnt received anything from the board. I got my fingerprints done in april after receiving the email from Nancy. My charges are 15 years old. Since they just received my prints I guess I'm stuck waiting in line. Thanks for commenting, best of luck to you!
I was told to wait until the board contacted me to go get my prints done. So I waited... and waited... until March 13th. I submitted my paperwork on November 15 via certified mail. I finally got ahold of someone at the board and they said I should have just waited a couple weeks after they received the paperwork. Somehow there was a mixup, but I got everything straightened out in time (thankfully) !
If anyone has any questions about the application process or literally anything related to all of this, let me know; I am always willing to help. I want to see you guys next semester! As we go through orientation and start classes, I'll be able to give you guys more direct information but just KEEP YOUR HEAD UP! Apply on time! And STAY OPTIMISTIC!

There are a bunch of books that you can purchase but I just Googled "HESI practice test" and things like that to find information.
This website offered some free tests for each section:
Free Practice Test for the HESI® exam
Also, I looked at dictionary.com for random words and I always googled "the word of the day." The math section wasn't necessarily hard for me but I did have to do some refreshing (on youtube and KHAN ACADEMY) for fractions and decimals.
Good luck!
I read that for this past 2018 fall cohort application, the cut off was 10 points or higher. I know in the past 9 and up was good, but this last round seemed to be a bit more competitive. Are you applying for Spring?
I was planning on applying for Fall of 2019 but since they opened up another term I am going to try now. Either way I'm hoping to have two more points come April. :)
