ADN to BSN experience?

Wondering if anyone has any good tips from going to a working ADN graduate RN to getting a BSN? I live in a rural area and plan on a program that mainly is distance learning, something like . Anyone doing this and have any tips or advice?

Specializes in FNP.

Went to an on the ground program at a top 10 nursing school. Loved it. Felt extremely well prepared for grad school at an Ivy League school.

Specializes in Home health was tops, 2nd was L&D.

I have read posts on here about Aspen University, supposedly according to Dean of college no pre-reqs and very affordable. but it is RN-MSN program, no BSN. Of course no need for BSN if you have MSN. I like , I had to stop for family reasons. But I choose it after much investigation. I had tried Univ of Phoenix, all group projects and so $$$$$, poor teachers and not very nice. My opinion this would be the worst place to go. :twocents:

If you go under the Students tab at top of allnurses page and go under Distance education, there are threads of many of the online university.. Seems there is something for everyone's taste..

My honest suggestion: Pick one and just do it.. Do not wait for good time (there never will be) , every day each one of us gets older and we will with ot without that advanced degree. And yes they are all doable while working, won't be easy but doable. Best of luck to you>:)
