Admissions make a mistake got denied

Two weeks ago I got my letter from the school and I got denied. They go based of points and rank. I look down to see my rank and points and they forgot to credit me a crucial point. The highest amount of points is 7 and without my extra point I only had 5.42.... not enough to get in. WITH my extra point I was one of the top candidates! I sent like 5 email and called everyone and their grandma...nothing. FINALLY, yesterday I got an email and phone call saying I GOT IN!! I was happy and excited...until I received the packet of information saying I have missed deadlines and TEAS workshops and was missing packet info. UGH. I paid $40 to take a TEAS only to find out I didn't need it. Yikes, I hope they are a bit more organized in the program. Overall, sooooo relieved and excited. :D

YIKES! But congratulations!!

Don't hold your breath on that one.

LOL, from the title it sounded like I was going to read a story about a school that admitted you but really meant to deny you. Glad to hear a happy ending! Congrats! :)

Wow~ Congrats!!!!

Oh no! Are you in their program? Can you offer any advice?

Specializes in Critical Care, Postpartum.

I know about the disorganization of a school's admissions staff. I sent all my information 3 months in advance, to find out that they didn't receive transcripts, etc 3 months later. No letter was sent to me about these so-called missing documents. They even ignored a couple of my emails requesting status of my application. I found out this information after constantly calling!! I had to hand deliver the remaining information they claimed they didn't receive.

If I get in, I too hope this isn't a reflection of their teaching staff.

Glad you got in. Good luck in your studies.

Yeah it seems the administration might be overwhelmed. But I am hoping the teachers don't follow in their footsteps. That is so frustrating. I have been in that position before with incompetent administration. I hope you get in and good luck!
