Admission to OSU Okmulgee

Published

Hey All,

I'm an LPN in Oklahoma that just applied to OSUIT for their associate RN program. I was just wondering if anyone here has attended the program and how long it took to find out you were accepted after the application deadline.... Thanks!!

Not yet, I got my acceptance letter from TCC yesterday... Won't accept until I hear from OSU unless they drag their heels

Congratulations on TCC!! Do they have a point system like osuit? I haven't really looked into their program.

They do, it's not as rigorous as OSU I think but you can't fart around with either because they will look at your science grades and it's pretty competitive- only 24 students for fall and 50 students for spring

Just curious if you know this answer. If you are sitting on your acceptance from TCC and then you also get accepted to OSU, do they have alternate students to fill your decline? I am, unfortunately, one of the LPN's who did not get into the TCC program and that is the only program I applied to.

I think so? I imagine they would use alternates to fill declined seats... I have until May 9th to turn in my letter of intent

I got into OSUIT!!! I am so excited!!! My suggestions would be if you apply : make sure you study for the first entrance test with the practice information they give you, also getting the Kaplan entrance book helps... the questions in the book seemed harder than the actual test, but to me that's a good thing... For the LPN fundamentals, I would suggest getting an NCLEX study book to take practice tests... They give you a book when you sign up for your test, but it's basically 600 pages of review information, with no practice tests... I can't guarantee it would give you the best grade, but it might help... I just looked at the review info. they gave me and I passed the fundamentals test, but it was HARD!!! anyways, that's my advice :) if you have any questions, get a hold of me :)

CONGRATS!! do you know what your points were? I'm super happy for you!

Sorry, I don't know specifically, I know it was at least over 20 points...

Well congrats again! Let me know how it goes.

When did your summer courses start?

I am Worried about the LPN fundamentals exam. I have 28 points now. Just wandering what you used to study!?

Hi there!! I honestly didn't really study for it... I would recommend looking up Kaplan practice questions for nursing....that would be helpful.
