Admission to OSU Okmulgee

Published

Hey All,

I'm an LPN in Oklahoma that just applied to OSUIT for their associate RN program. I was just wondering if anyone here has attended the program and how long it took to find out you were accepted after the application deadline.... Thanks!!

Hello jessvop! I am not sure the exact wait time. I have been told by others that they let you know pretty quick. I have also applied for the summer semester. Have you already taken both entrance tests?

Thanks!!! I did take my exams... The regular entrance exam went pretty well... I passed the LPN fundamentals test but didn't do as well as I hoped... It's been a long time LOL .... I also applied to TCC for the fall and am not sure how long that will take either. My friend applied last fall for the traditional program and she said it took her a little over a month after the application deadline to find out... I hope being an LPN, they will let us know sooner :) Good luck to you!!! Hopefully I'll be meeting you this summer at OSU!!

I have taken the first test and am taking the LPN fundamentals test Fridayí ½í¸¨ I am so anxious about it as it has been a long time for me as well. I have been a LPN since 1999. I have been studying but am kind of at a loss as to what to study.... I would think they would have to let us know pretty soon as the summer semester starts early May ( I'm thinking around the 8th).

So how did your test go??? I think for the LPN's we start July 11th. I was looking at the courses for summer and the LPN-RN transition starts July 11th.

Just curious did you guys get accepted? I'm am working towards this next year I have my LPN now just working on the prereqs. They told me the only way Lpns get in, is if the traditional adn students in the program flunk out in the second semester. They also said there is no guarantee how many Lpns they can take until the semester is over since we are jumping in the middle of the adn program. Not to be nosy, but how many points did you have? I'm just trying to see if it is even worth my time. Thanks :)

I know nothing about if we only get in if ADN students drop out... They just said the number they can accept is based on how many "qualifying " students get seats for the summer... I know the first class is LPN-RN transition , so it doesn't really make sense to have the traditional students involved....I'm not sure how many points I had because I transferred from TCC so I'm not sure what classes will count toward the points ... It's over 20 I know.... Haven't heard anything yet....

I'm not 100% sure that is how it goes I talked with them yesterday about it but basically they said when the traditional adn students come back from summer break the LPNs will be done with the LPN to RN transition class and it will put them in the same spot from my understanding.

Ahhh gotcha í ½í¸ That would make sense!! Yeah they didn't specify how the seats were filled, just "qualifying" lol I'll let you know if I get in or not... Seeing how competitive all the nursing programs are around here, I'd apply to any you have interest in.... Doesn't hurt í ½í¸

Most definitely I plan on it! Yes please let me know I'm curious how many get in!! Thank you for the info!

Thank you for the information too!!

Any news as to if you got in??
