It really depends on where you will be working. Taking procedural classes is always a good idea. Most NP's coming directly out of school feel ill prepared with their education and training. Whatever field you are about to enter, buy medical school grade books and guidelines and really digest this information. This will put you light years ahead of any other new grad NP. I know, I did so.
You can try this.

Hi everyone,
I am a new grad FNP in CA and waiting for the BRN to process my paperwork. In the meantime I was thinking I could do some additional training to get certified in. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have lined up a training session for joint injections, suturing, I&Ds, etc. Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance!
