I'm on a 38 bed unit and we only have two aides.

22 bed med/surg (Neuro) unit, 2 aides. It can be rough.

I'm on a tele floor, we used to have 3 aides for 34 patients on day shift, now we have 2, sometimes 1. Noc used to have 3, then 2 and now most of the time they have 1. It's getting really ridiculus, we don't have time for anything but call lights and vitals, the patients aren't getting baths or getting turned like they should. And they RNs are stressed out too, they have 5 patients and usually the lead nurse has to take a group on top of everything else.
