I've never heard of anything like this, but here's any idea. . . .go back to the person that showed you this acronym and get it from them.
I would, but he is on 12 months study leave, so not sure how to contact him.
Many prehospital folks use SAMPLE.Signs/symptoms
Allergies
Meds
Past history
Last meal/last oral intake
Events leading up to current problem
Awesome! Thanks!

Yeah, I was about to say SAMPLE if no one had gotten to it first. It really only applies to first contact (EMS or ER), and isn't all that relevant on the floor, however.

I'm studying for my Emergency Nursing exam, and this helps me to put my mind in order for answering questions. For other areas, it acts as a starting point. I get freaked out by exams, and these sort of things help me to put my thoughts in order. It won't be the only thing I rely on though.

Hi,
I can vaguely remember in 2nd year being shown an acronym to help remember the things to look for in an initial assessment.
It covered, S&S, History, Medications, etc.
But I can't seem to remember what it was, any ideas?
