ACLS - how useful is it?

I'm thinking of undergoing ACLS/ECG training by CCNAPI. However, it's P5,000 for five days! Will it really help further my career, will it be worth it?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies. Which hospitals require ACLS? Coz I thought hospitals only require IVT and BLS...

it is, if you are going to work in icu, er.

theres an ACLS course administered by the Philippine Heart Association for only 2500! u can search for their website. they are invited by different hospitals, but u can request them to include you in the participants. the course is taught by excellent cardiologists. It is helpful if u want to work in the ER or ICU. At least you'll be familiar with handling a code. Its a lot of help and wud look good in ur resume.

Aside from looking good in your resume..the Didactic part of the ACLS will help you a lot in answering exam questions regarding Cardio and Emergency. It sure did for me when I applied for various hospitals.

I think the PNA also offers ACLS for a fraction of the price of those offered by other institutions.

ive worked in the ER and believe me its well worth it.

Here its a requirement for anyone working in Critical care
