How accurate are ultrasound results ?
Suppose in Ultrasould result it says ... baby is 11 weeks old .
When will be the conception date ?
How far off the ultrasould result can go ?

The ultrasound is as good as the operator that is doing the ultrasound. Measurements taken of a fetus determines aging. Sometimes the U/S says a baby is bigger or smaller for gestational age, or right on target.. Are you disputing the results? Did you think the fetus is older/younger than what U/S reported?

also remember, a "normal" gestation is 38-42 weeks. There is room for "fudging" and even with several measurements in the first trimester (most accurate), nothing is fool-proof. 11 weeks is in the "ballpark" of most-accurate gestational dating assessments, but like I said this is far from a perfect science.

From what I understand from our OB docs, the earlier a U/S is done, the more accurate the results are.

That does seem to be what the research suggests as well.
Yup...for purposes of EDC, especially with an unknown LMP, the early sono is DA ONE!!!!
But for the purposes of assessing fetal weight in late pregnancy, you're better off visiting a tarot card reader.
