Hi,.!
This is something about the dialysis trainings offered here in the Philippines. I just wanna ask if there are ANY OTHER canters accredited by the RENAP aside from the following:
B Braun and Avitum Phils.,
Philippine Heart Center
Philippine Kidney Dialysis Foundation
National Kidney Institute
Asian Renal Center
It seems that upon reading some of the threads in this forum, these are the only 'viable' training centers offering such course as Hemodialysis. B Braun is fully booked until July2011 and they already have a waiting list for the next batches(in demand talaga..??) It would also be helpful if you can mention something about the fees?
Thank you so much.. Replies would be much appreciated..
@JEHDSKY: Hi! I've under gone the training in PKDF, it's pretty good. Its expensive I know, but I enjoyed. I learned alot from my CI and the staff there. they're all super nice and help you out as a trainee. I don't know if it's the best cuz I haven't tried out any other training centers...but I do agree the 5 months was "bitin" I wanted to go for another month or so, but was not able to na. I want to try other centers as well, BUT PKDF is good. I'd go back again if they weren't too expensive. anyway, hope it helps. GOOD LUCK!!

@kristel
I would sound biased if I'm gonna comment on which is better. What I can say is that all the basics about dialysis are covered. Now it's up to you how to maximize what you can learn on your exposure and training.
Don't just learn how to hook a patient to the machine. Learn all the concepts about renal nursing and apply it.
